Known for its striking appearance and physical properties, it is frequently used in fine woodworking, acoustic guitar making, and decorative veneers.

Appearance & Color: The heartwood ranges from rich chocolate to violet-brown and is frequently streaked with dramatic black or golden-brown lines. It has a natural luster that deepens with age.
