Wood details: Brauninha (or little braúna) is a durable wood from Brazil. It is highly valued for crafting sturdy, rustic, and long-lasting items such as kitchenware, mortars, pestles, and drinkware (e.g., caipirinha cups). It should not be confused with traditional Braúna (Melanoxylon brauna), a highly protected, heavy hardwood.
