Wood details: Brazilian Arruda (botanically known as Zollernia, commonly Orelha de Onça in Brazil) is a rare, dense, and highly prized tropical hardwood. Known for its striking appearance and physical properties, it is frequently used in fine woodworking, acoustic guitar making, and decorative veneers.

Appearance & Color: The heartwood ranges from rich chocolate to violet-brown and is frequently streaked with dramatic black or golden-brown lines. It has a natural luster that deepens with age.
Texture & Grain: Arruda generally features a coarse texture and can have interlocked or wavy grains.
Hardness & Density: It is an incredibly dense, heavy, and durable wood. It possesses high natural resistance to rot, decay, and insect attacks.
